ALL
DAY Time Release System™
Frequently
Asked Questions
What is glucosamine?
Glucosamine
is important for healthy joints. It is one
of the components of the tissue that covers
the surfaces of the bones in your joints
(i.e., knee, elbow, hip), called articular
cartilage. Cells that are found in this cartilage
are able to make glucosamine on their own
when the joint is healthy and undamaged,
but changes in the joints appear to inhibit
the ability of these cells to produce enough
glucosamine.
What is chondroitin sulfate?
Chondroitin
sulfate is important for healthy joints.
It is one of the components of the tissue
that covers the surfaces of the bones in
your joints (i.e., knee, elbow, hip), called
articular cartilage. Chondroitin sulfate
helps make up a portion of the tissue covering
the bones in the joint that function as a
type of shock-absorber for the joint.
How do the ingredients
in the ALL DAY tablets help with joint
support?
The main goal with products
that help with joint support, such as the
ALL DAY tablet, is to help prevent further
damage to the sensitive tissue that covers
the bones within the joint, called articular
cartilage. Normal joint cartilage is made
up of cells that are able to produce substances
that help cushion and lubricate the joint
so that it functions smoothly and without
pain. Ingredients that make up the ALL
DAY tablet, such as glucosamine and chondroitin
sulfate, provide substances that are needed
to help keep the cartilage tissue and surrounding
cushion healthy. When a joint is damaged,
these cells cannot keep up with the demand
for these ingredients. Providing glucosamine
and chondroitin sulfate provides the building
blocks that are necessary to rebuild the
cartilage tissue and surrounding cushion.
What does ALL DAY
really mean for my dog?
ALL DAY means that if
you follow the recommended amount and dosing
frequency (every 12 hours), the building
blocks needed for healthy cartilage tissue
and surrounding cushion will be available
to the dog for 24 hours, or ALL DAY.
How does this time release tablet
really work?
The ingredients
that make up the ALL DAY tablet include
special ingredients that make up the “Time
Release System.” These ingredients
help bind the active ingredients, such
as glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate,
in layers. These layers release slowly
over time as they come in contact with
the liquids of the gastrointestinal tract.
As the moisture penetrates to the core
of the tablet, the ingredients are released
and absorbed into the bloodstream.

Why is this product so much more
expensive than other products available
in the market?
There are a couple
of reasons why this product has a premium
price point over other glucosamine supplements
on the market. First of all, many of the
other products do not contain chondroitin
sulfate, which adds more expense to the
formula. In addition, ingredients which
make up the time release system and the
special process that is required to produce
these tablets add to the overall manufacturing
costs. All of the ingredients in this special
tablet have to be prepared and combined
in a special way to effectively control
the time-release system.
How is this product different from other joint health products?
Many
of the other joint health products for dogs do not contain chondroitin sulfate.
In addition, this tablet contains a time release system that results in the
steady, continuous release of the active ingredients over an extended period
of time. Other joint health products do not have this technology, so all of
the ingredients are released and absorbed into the bloodstream all at once.
All of the ingredients in this special tablet have to be prepared and combined

to the overall manufacturing costs.
How does time release of ingredients
help improve joint health for dogs?
The
time release system results in absorption
of active ingredients, such as glucosamine,
over time, which provides a continuous
source of some of the important building
blocks needed for joint health. Other joint
health products do not have this technology,
so all of the ingredients in those tablets
are released and absorbed into the bloodstream
all at once.
Can I crush this tablet
up and mix it?
For
optimal results we recommend administering
the table whole. Crushing and chewing will
speed up the release of the ingredients
by destroying the time release system.
The time release system is dependent on
the tablet being given to the dog whole.
Can I cut the tablet
in half and give to my dog?
Yes.
The tablet is scored to accommodate ½ tablet
dosing. Cutting the tablet in half will
not affect the time released system. However,
the tablet should not be quartered, because
this could potentially affect the time
release system.
Why is this not available
in a chewable format?
The ingredients
that make up the ALL DAY tablet include
special ingredients that make up the “Time
Release System.” These ingredients
help bind the active ingredients, such
as glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate,
in layers. These layers release slowly
over time as they come in contact with
the liquids of the stomach. As the moisture
penetrates to the core of the tablet, the
ingredients are released and absorbed into
the bloodstream. The time release system
results in absorption of active ingredients,
such as glucosamine, over time, which provides
a continuous source of some of the important
building blocks needed for joint health.
If this was crushed or chewed, it would
destroy the time-release system.
Are there possible side effects?
None
that have been documented.
Can this product be used for cats?
The
ALL DAY tablet is not recommended for use
in cats. The ingredients in this tablet are
not harmful to cats, but the tablet is designed
for dogs that weigh at least 25 pounds.
How soon will you see results?
Every dog is different and
response will depend on the damage to the joint, age and size of dog. However,
most joint supplements have been shown to show positive effects in dogs within
7-14 days.
Dosage?
Label dose is ½ tablet every 12 hours for
a dog that weighs 25-50 pounds, and 1 tablet every 12 hours for a dog that
weighs over 50 pounds.
Can people consume this product?
No,
this product is not intended for human use.
Is this product intended for long-term
use in dogs?
Yes, and it is recommended
that supplements for joint health be started
when signs of pain or reduced mobility
first begin to appear.
Age restrictions for dogs that can take this product?
No
age restrictions.
Can you give this product to smaller
dogs under 25 lbs?
Smaller dogs
will require quartering the tablet, which
may affect the time release system of
the active ingredients.
Is it ok to give only 1 tablet
per day vs. splitting and giving twice
a day?
Yes, but your dog will
have only 12 hours vs. 24 hours support.
